Good For ME!!

Yesterday was the first day I never even thought of wanting or needing to smoke. That's a huge accomplishment for me, and I'm very proud of myself. I haven't smoked since August 12, and now its gotten much easier. Now if only I could maintain the walking goal I had set out for myself....

I've moved onto the 2nd trimester with ease. I am 14 wks, and have not had it bad at all. A handful of nauseated days, but mainly exhaustion/insomnia have been my main symptoms. All in all, a much easier pregnancy by far. I'm also starting to feel the baby, if only very slightly and only on rare occasion.

Ryan has had a rough week at preschool, having a hard time adjusting to classroom behaviour. Hopefully we will have all the kinks worked out soon, but this is why I chose to have him go to a preschool....to see how ready he would be for kindergarten. Its still a long way away, so we'll see what the future holds.

Gracie continues to do fine. No illnesses, no strange behaviour, no issues so far, aside from turning into a toddler. She has learned the art of antagonizing Ryan, and he is not liking it! I guess he's getting payback for all the times he tormented her. But man, the screaming! Can I go to timeout now?!

Surprise, surprise!

Well, we are expecting our 3rd child, as most of you know by now. We are due March 28, 2010, which makes me 8 wks and 3 days today. We plan on being surprised and can't wait to see what we have. Ryan has named the child already....for a boy his name is Holard, and if its a girl, Tammy. Ok, probably not gonna use his choices. But we're excited none the less.

On another note (and surprise for me), I have not smoked for exactly 1 week today. And though I still want one, I am able to get passed it. I think I will always want one. But if I can power through, maybe I can do this. For those that have not smoked, I guess you can relate to anything else that you can't seem to do without, and then do without it. I LOVE smoking, always have, always will. But its not good for me, not good for babies, and VERY expensive.

The Astros game was a ton of fun, even if we did lose sorely. We had sooo much fun!

For July 4th celebration, we went across the street and rode bikes and scooters and had tons of fun!

On a sad note, Gracie started a fever today. Mainly just blogging so I have a reference.

Gracie is a swimmer

Gracie is already my little swimmer! She LOVES to go swimming, and will go under water by herself for 4-5 feet. The video shows it a little, but we had just gotten in the pool, and she wasn't quite ready for it. By the end of swimming, she was leaping away and diving under on her own. Ryan refused to swim without his float for me to show everybody, but hopefully we'll get it tomorrow.

Swimming lessons

Betsy, this one's for you! Ryan enjoyed his swim lessons very much. Can't say he learned to swim, but he's certainly trying now. He even floated on his back without keeping his head up. Gracie is also quite the swimmer. She gets a big grin on her face every time she gets in the pool, and maintains it the whole time she's swimming.

I'll try to work on a longer post later, when I have something worthwhile to say.
